A carved slate candlestick, dating to the second half of the 19th century. Unusual piece and presumably Welsh. The piece is constructed of two parts fixed together: a carved base and a turned body.
Dimensions:
Height: 26.4cm. Width/diameter of base: 13.7cm.
Condition:
Multiple chips throughout, mostly to the base and some around the edge of the candle holder, and some minor knocks and chips to the body. Age related wear as expected but displays well. Please examine photos carefully.
