Description:

A Zulu knobkerrie, dating to the 19th century. This knobkerrie is almost entirely covered with fine two colour wirework decoration with just the lower quarter of shaft left plain for the grip. The large spherical head has brass studs as well as the wirework decoration. This is a very attractive club with good colour and patina.

Dimensions:

Length: 69.5cm. Width of head: 8.5cm.

Condition:

The head has some wirework distorted out of place and a small amount missing. Four of the brass studs are dented to various degrees. The shaft has small strands of wire-work missing throughout but it is 99% all there and secure and stable. Age related wear as expected. Overall good. Please examine photos carefully.
