A good quality still-life painting, signed “W. Gray” and dated 1881. Oil on canvas (relined) and presented in a period gilt frame. This is a lovely painting that depicts two bunches of grapes in a tazza set upon a marble table top that is full of apples, pears, cherries and a couple of small red flowers. The painting has a strong composition and the attention to detail is very well observed, particularly the surface texture of the apples and pears.
