Two English Grand Tour marble/hardstone specimen paperweights, dating to the second half of the 19th century. Two slabs of Ashford/Derbyshire black marble inset with various types of hardstones including: Malachite, Lapis Lazuli, Jasper, Agate, Blue John(?), etc. One paperweight has 18 specimens and the other has 16. The paperweights are slightly different sizes.
One paperweight has a small chip to one corner. Age related wear as expected but overall in good condition. Please examine photos carefully.
