A Solomon Islands walking stick, dating to the first half/mid 20th century. This walking stick has a ball-shaped head and the shaft is finely carved with two faces and two snake heads. The walking stick is further decorated with intricate pearl inlay typical of pieces from the Solomon Islands. This piece was made for the early traveller/tourist trade and the walking stick has a good colour and patina.

Inlay from one eye of a snake missing. Some very minor damage/wear to a piece of inlay on the handle. Some chips to the terminal end of the stick. Age related wear as expected. Overall good. Please examine photos carefully.
