A pair of painted silhouette portraits of a gentleman and lady, dating to circa 1810. Watercolour on paper with bronzed/gilt highlights and presented in period black papier-mache frames with acorn & leaf gilt brass hanger (both with convex glass). These are two fine quality silhouettes that have great detail and presumably depict a husband and wife. The silhouettes have been examined out of the frames and there is no signature or inscription to be found.

Condition:
Paper has yellowed with age. Some faint surface marks. Frames has some minor blemishes and knocks to the corners. Age related wear as expected. Overall in good ready to hang condition. Please examine photos carefully.
