A reverse glass painting of a dog, dating to the second half of the 19th century and presented in a 20th/21st century gilt frame. The painting depicts a portrait of a dog surrounded by a decorative gilt and green border. This is an unusual subject to find as a reverse glass painting which makes it slightly quirky and folksy whilst still being highly decorative piece. Please note that the frame is modern but it is sympathetic and works well.

The frame has some minor loss to gilding (largest found in lower left corner) and some minor bumps. Age related wear as expected. Overall in good ready to hang condition. Please examine photos carefully.
