This fine quality painting depicts a three-quarter length portrait of Miss Dove wearing a white dress, holding a book and seated on a red chair against a green interior. Miss dove and her dress are well painted with good detail and she has a wonderful & elaborate hairstyle. Label verso with the artist and sitter's name, and the panel itself is inscribed “Miss Dove 1831”.
