A painting depicting the head of a tan terrier, dating to circa 1870. Oil on board and presented in a Victorian gilt frame with oval mount (glazed). This fine quality painting is in the manner of Edwin Loder of Bath (1827-1885) and has captured a wonderful amount of detail. This is a charming portrait of a lovely natured dog and is one of a pair of paintings; the companion painting of a black & tan terrier is offered and listed separately (see last photo).

Condition:
Some faint surface dirt in areas. Frame has some small areas of restoration. Age related wear as expected. Overall in good ready to hang condition. Please examine photos carefully.
