A portrait painting of a lady, indistinctly signed (Brooker?) and dated “89” lower right. Oil on canvas and presented in a period gilt frame. This fine quality painting depicts a half-length portrait of a lady wearing a pink dress with green edging and a rose. This is a lovely portrait that is well painted and is set in an interior with a subtle hint of leaves in the background.

Condition:
Small patch repair on right side of background. Some loss and retouching to the lower half of the dress and flower. Some craqueler mostly contained to the shadow areas. Frame has a small loss to the moulding the middle section in the upper left corner. Inner moulding of the frame on the lower section appears restored and matched in. Age related wear as expected. Overall in good ready to hang condition. Please examine photos carefully.
