A portrait painting of a lady, dating to circa 1820-30. Oil on board and presented in a period rosewood veneered frame with gilt slip. This fine quality painting depicts a young lady in a red silk dress, her hair elaborately styled with ringlets and wearing two bandeaus; one with pearls amongst her hair and the other a fine blue ribbon across her forehead. This is a sensitive painting that has captured the sitter well.
