A fine quality portrait of a gentleman, dating to circa 1840. Oil on card and presented in a period gilt frame with inner embossed gilt metal mount (glazed). This is a a small intimate portrait that could also be considered a large portrait miniature.

Condition:
Surface of the painting has some small areas of unevenness and slight craqueleur only visible on close examination. The metal mount is slightly buckled top and bottom center. Frame has a small minor loss lower left outer corner. Age related wear as expected but overall in good ready to hang condition. Please examine photos carefully.
