Lockhart 1882” and depicts a female artist holding a palette and brushes, sitting next to an easel and painting a landscape. The lady is wearing a fez, a green dress and red jacket with white lace collar and sleeves. The painting captures an impressive amount of detail, from the paints on the palette to the woven pattern of the rug. Wonderfully painted and the artist has created a strong mood through the atmospheric lighting.
