An Aboriginal pineapple head club, likely dating to the late 19th century. This wooden club from Queensland, Australia, is of typical form with a “pineapple” carved head and a long tapering shaft with grooved linear decoration and a carved textured grip. There are traces of ochre within the pineapple head and the whole piece has a great colour and patina.

Some vertical age related splits to the shaft but appear stable. Some surface marks/bumps/knocks. Age related wear as expected. Overall good. Please examine photos carefully.
