A carved wood snuff box, dating to the second half of the 19th century. This fine snuff box is profusely carved with scrolling acanthus leaf designs on the lid and sides. A near identical snuff box carved by Borge Borgersen can be found in the National Museum of Norway (inventory OK-00833). This is wonderfully carved snuff box and has a good colour and patina.
