Description:

An interesting collection of British Neolithic flint tools, scrapers etc, dating to circa 3,500-2,000 B.C, and collected in the late 19th or early 20th century. There are 18 flint tools each inscribed with the site location and collection numbers. 12 are inscribed “Puttenham Common”, 2 inscribed “Brook, Surrey”, 2 “Nr. Albury, Surrey”, 1 “Nr. Shere, Surrey”, 1 “Chapel Field, Farnham”. The flints are presented in a Victorian wooden box with brass name plaque reading “ W.G. Wallace”.

Dimensions:

Largest flint measures approx: 7.8cm x 5.3cm x 2.4cm
Smallest flint: 3cm x 1.7cm.
Box: Width: 18.9cm. Depth: 11.8cm. Height: 4.5cm.

Condition:

The flints appear to be in good condition. The box has some small losses to the veneer around the edges. The escutcheon has been removed and plugged with wood. Age related wear as expected but overall good. Please examine photos carefully.
