A wonderful carved wood statue of a Medieval minstrel with a lute, dating to I believe the 15th century? I am not an expert in early carvings so please use own judgement. The statue is in slightly fragmentary condition and almost all of the face has been restored and built up with filler and matched in (detailed condition report below). The piece does not stand up alone but has a hook on the reverse for it to be hung/displayed on a wall.

Condition:
The piece is in fragmentary condition with missing arms, missing feet, and missing part of the lute. The face has been restored with almost all of it being built up with filler and matched in, as well as a bit of the hair. Age related wear as expected but it displays well. Please examine photos carefully.
