A carved wood statue of the Madonna & Child, dating to the late 19th century. This finely carved statue depicts the Virgin Mary wearing a crown, dressed in robes and holding the Christ child in her arms. This is a particularly fine that has a good colour and patina. The statue has been later screwed onto a larger wooden base.

Madonna’s left hand missing. Small chip to the finger on Madonna's right hand. Christ missing middle finger. Some age related shrinkage cracks to reverse. Age related wear as expected. Overall good. Please examine photos carefully.
