A Watts style gilt frame, dating to the late 19th century. Running acanthus leaves in low relief on convex moulding at outer edge, central plate with visible oak grain, inner edge decorated with moulded flower heads, and an inner plain gilt slip. This is an excellent example of a Watts frame which is of a great size and retains its original gilding.

Condition:
Two of the flower heads on inner edge appear restored/regilded and the outer edge of the frame has some areas of restoration. Some minor marks and wear to the gilding in areas. Age related wear as expected. Overall in good condition. Please examine photos carefully.
