An Indian carved wood statue of the Madonna & Child, dating to the first half of the 20th century. This finely carved statue depicts the Virgin Mary wearing a crown, dressed in robes and holding the Christ child in her arms. The statue is unusual being Indian in origin(?). The piece has a good colour and patina.

Age related shrinkage crack that goes through the Madonna's wrist and part of the robe. Age related wear as expected. Overall good. Please examine photos carefully.
