A large Italian giltwood display stand, dating to the 18th century or possibly before. This is a highly decorative and useful display stand that is finely carved with scrolling acanthus leaves and has an inner red polychrome alcove. The stand has an unusual feature of an adjustable top that can be pulled out to increase the surface area on top.

Condition:
Some fine age-related/shrinkage hairline cracks. Some small and minor losses and rubbing to gilding. Top has some old marks and signs of wear. Overall good. Please examine photos carefully.
