A carved wood and gilded display stand with faded silk top, dating to the late 19th century. Set upon 4 bun feet the stand retains its original gilding and has a nice decorative moulded edge. The purple silk top is very faded; the colour has almost completely gone and is now a neutral colour. This is a good size display base perfect for a statue, precious object, jewellery display, etc.
