A very fine Vanuatu carved club, dating to the mid 19th century. This club has a finely carved complex head consisting of nodules and sharp geometric edges, set beneath a mushroom shaped top. Elegant tapering shaft to a conical base. This club is an excellent example of its type and has a superb dark colour and patina.

Condition:
Damage/loss to part of the conical base collar area. Small minor knocks consistent with age and use. Age related wear as expected but overall in good condition. Please examine photos carefully.
