A Fijian carved Ula throwing club, dating to the mid 19th century. This Ula is a large example with a multi-lobed head and a finely carved grip of tavatava designs. Recessed butt with unusual raised point - likely would've held inlay. The Ula has a good dark colour and patina.

Length: 41.4cm. Width at widest part: 11.5cm.
Condition:
Age related splits in places. Age related wear as expected. Overall in good condition. Please examine photos carefully.
