A Fijian carved Ula throwing club, dating to the mid 19th century. This Ula is a multi-lobed head example with a finely carved grip of unusual cross-hatched designs. The Ula has a good dark colour and patina.

Length: 40.1cm. Width at widest part: 9.5cm.
Condition:
Partial crack/split to shaft. Gouged-out damage to shaft (almost looks like it's been chewed by a rodent). Feels structurally strong and stable. Age related wear as expected. Overall in good condition. Please examine photos carefully.
