A Fijian carved wood statue, dating to the first half of the 20th century. The piece depicts a stylised bust of a man with elaborate hair (see last image for reference). Figurative sculpture from Polynesia is rare to find, and this example would've been made for the early tourist trade.

Condition:
Some age related splits to the wood with the largest on the front. Some small chips/knocks in places. Small area with filler to one side of hair. Age related wear as expected. Overall good. Please examine photos carefully.
