A Fijian war club, dating to the 19th century. This wooden club from Fiji is known as a “Culacula” and has a distinct paddle shape similar to “Kinikini” clubs. This club is a fine example that has a wonderful and subtle “tiger striping” within the wood's grain, visible when held at certain angles to the light. The club has an excellent colour and patina and also has an old Victorian brass hanging loop on the terminal end.
