A vintage statue of a traveller, dating to the late 20th century. This unusual statue depicts a traveller or hobo type character holding a bundle carried on a stick. The figure is dressed in a brown fringed tunic, a green cape and a green pointed hat with feather. The figure is constructed of various fabrics with a stuffed body and is presented on a wooden base with metal rod – it is held to the rod by a piece of wire wrapped around the waist under the clothes.

Condition:
One statue has the tips of fingers missing on one hand and missing thumbs on both hands. The second statue has been professionally restored on one wrist. Swords are missing from both. Both have filled peg holes on the reverses that have been colour-matched in. Both stand slightly wonky and are leaning back on their later bases. Distressing to gilding. Age related wear as expected. Overall good. Please examine photos carefully.
