A large carved wood Corpus Christi, dating to the 17th century. This finely carved Corpus Christi depicts Christ with a downward gaze and his arms outstretched. The piece has been masterfully carved with carefully observed anatomy and fine quality carving to the face, the hands, the feet, and the loincloth. This is an excellent Corpus Christi of good size and has a great colour and patina. There is an old hanging loop to the reverse for display.

Condition:
One finger damaged on one hand. Some minimal old woodworm holes in areas. Age related wear as expected. Overall good. Please examine photos carefully.
