A carved wood and gilded Corpus Christi, dating to the late 17th or early 18th century. This finely carved Corpus Christi depicts Christ with an upward gaze and wearing a billowing loincloth. The piece has good attention to detail and carefully observed anatomy with fine quality carving to the face and the feet. The piece has a gilded finish that has tarnished with age and has been rubbed through in areas. There is an old hanging loop to the reverse for display.

Condition:
Missing both arms. Wear and distressing to the gilt finish. Age related wear as expected. Overall good. Please examine photos carefully.
