A finely carved caricature portrait walking stick, dating to the second half of the 19th century. This walking stick depicts a full-length portrait of a man, possibly a caricature of a politician, with a large nose and dressed in a suit with a long frock coat. The walking stick is finely carved in the “art populaire”/folk art style and has painted eyes, jacket and shoes. The piece has an excellent colour and patina. Please note that this is a relatively short length for a walking stick.
