A Black Forest carved wood statue of a dog, dating to the late 19th century. This finely carved statue depicts a recumbent hunting dog, either a setter, pointer or a spaniel, resting alongside a game bird just caught and a hunting bag. This is a wonderfully carved piece that has great detail and an excellent colour and patina.
