This sampler is signed “Sarah Harrop in 1847” and is finely decorated with a poem, floral motifs, trees, and a portrait of the mother of Sarah with the initials “MH” on either side. The sampler is on its original stretcher and there is paper backing on the reverse with a partial family tree recently written.
